Coda at the end draws a connection between the overall piece and the worldmachines project. The overall piece is about interpreting the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy as about a midlife crisis for humanity (and analogizes it to Dante and my own personal experiences) - the transitional phase we are in between machines has some analogous aspects.

The cosmic burden was once carried by metaphysical containers — religion, ideology, Stoicism. They have thinned. What survives is operational lever discipline: total engagement on the few terrains where you amplify, surgical refusal of the rest, paired with the thicket that makes the refusal bearable.
